Why is that? It’s tied to them going undercover at a gun show, one that has been producing weapons to be used to target police. This is a case that could impact the lives of thousands of cops and because of that, you’re going to see the unit work overtime in an effort to get some of the information that they so desperately seek. The two sneak peek videos below are effective in setting the stage for this mission, and the high degree of danger that is there for Burgess and Ruzek as they do what they can to root out the truth. They’re undercover as weapons buyers who are trying to get access to the people in charge, but when they start to get found out, the situation becomes a little bit more dangerous than either party thought it would going into the mission.
One of the things to keep in mind with Burgess and Ruzek as they kick off this mission together is their history. These are two people who are used to working together in some capacity, but it’s obviously a very-different thing working together now than it’s been in the past. They don’t have the same amount of trust that the two of them had before, though that may be in part due to the fact that the secret that Adam has kept from her about Upton. Based on the synopsis for this episode released in advance, this is a secret that is about to come out! We’re excited to see whatever the ramifications of that are going to be. We still hold firm to the belief that Burgess will not be altogether upset about the fact that Ruzek had this secret — it’s more to do with him choosing to keep it from her for so long. Why opt to do that when there were some other options he could have chosen?
