Chicago PD season 6 episode 14 preview: Burgess, Ruzek, & Upton’s story

When will Burgess learn the truth about Ruzek and Upton? We know that this is something that many people have been wanting to know. While we are more than aware of the fact that Burgess and Ruzek haven’t been together in a while, she certainly would want to know if he was with someone else on the team. We don’t necessarily think that she’s going to have some sort of huge problem with the fact that Upton and Ruzek are together; it’s more the secrecy of it. The fact that he didn’t tell her about what was going on can be viewed almost as an inference that he knew something wrong was happening.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Chicago PD season 6 episode 14 synopsis for some more information as to what’s coming up:
02/13/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : The team travels to a Wisconsin gun show to take down a supplier who’s manufacturing “cop killer” machine guns. Before going undercover together, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) discovers that Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) is dating Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger).
We know that the romantic storyline is going to command the majority of attention entering the episode, but at the same time it feels like a sure thing that we’re going to be seeing a pretty unique storyline elsewhere. It’s odd that we have a story featuring characters traveling out of state right after we’re seeing roughly the same thing on another show in Chicago Fire, but maybe that is the larger general theme for this particular week!
Of course, we don’t think we need to say why approaching the gun show in Wisconsin is important for these characters — this impacts Chicago. It didn’t really matter that it’s out of Intelligence’s typical jurisdiction; what matters is that Chicago PD is about people doing what they can to protect their city at all costs — no matter how far they have to go in order to ensure that this happens.
