Death Valley season 3: Is it renewed, canceled at BBC One?

Given that today does mark the season 2 finale of Death Valley over at BBC One, why not take a moment to discuss what lies ahead? Will there be a third season of the crime drama?

It may go without saying, but of course we should start this piece off by noting that the demand for another iteration of the series is very-much there. This is a tried-but-true police drama featuring an unlikely partnership, and there is a reason why this format has been on the air for decades. You get some memorable cases that feature creative thinking at the center. Beyond just that, though, you also have a good bit of variety when it comes to where you can put the characters and just what they will do.

At the time of this writing, the folks at the aforementioned network have not confirmed that a season 3 is going to happen. Are we still hopeful, though? Let’s just say that the answer to that is yes and then some. We tend to think that so long as the viewership is there you could easily do many more seasons without fail here — there will never be a shortage of stories! The only thing we would really hope for is that you can keep the same cast on board.

Oh, and one other thing — because there is a relatively small number of episodes per season, it can lead to a quick turnaround. What we are trying to say here is simply that we’d be disappointed if we did not get more of the series at some point next year — provided, of course, that it does find a way to get that greenlight for more.
