Supergirl season 4: Jon Cryer teases Lex Luthor’s ring

If you take a look below, you can see Jon Cryer offer up a small tease of the ring that his infamous character will be wandering for at least a part of his upcoming story. The ring within the comics has had some specific purposes, with one of the biggest ones being how it provided him an opportunity to fend off Kryptonians. This could prove useful given that Supergirl is likely to collide into him at one point over the course of the night — as a matter of fact, it feels fairly likely that this is something we’re going to run into given what’s happening with Superman and also how he could be worked into the story.
As for whether or not Lex will be the Big Bad near the end of the season, it’s a worthy thing to wonder given that he seems to be set for more than just one episode; also, the status of Agent Liberty moving forward still remains unclear. We always wondered whether he was eventually going to get out of prison and be a factor again near the end of the season, but that’s not something that has been touched on in some sort of specific way just yet. What we know is that Cryer’s debut on Supergirl will be coming this March, and a number of scenes alongside Katie McGrath is a must. These two should prove to have a very-complicated relationship, as Lex more or less represents the worst-possible outcome for some as brilliant as she is.
For now, the good thing that many Supergirl characters can relish in is that Lex is in prison. Unfortunately, the key words there are “for now,” given that there is no guarantee that this situation will be permanent. Sooner or later, we could see this character start to find his way out. Within this particular show, it’s not altogether hard to imagine how in the world this could come back.
