SWAT season 2 episode 15 video: A riot crisis breaks out
Is “Fallen” the most dangerous episode of the entire season? In some ways, you can argue so. It’s not so much of a good-vs.-evil story, but it is one where the team is vastly outnumbered and they may not have any proper recourse. Many of these same people rebelling against the team are the same people that they are sworn to protect and serve. It’s going to be hard to do this in this situation, and they will have to find a way in order to defuse the conflict without resorting to excess violence. Expect for things to get emotional, and also expect for some sort of attempt to build a bridge between the two different groups.
SWAT, week in and week out, creates some interesting challenges for itself, mostly in that it has to find a way to create a new struggle for the core cast every week. There needs to be danger, but there also needs to be a way out. This one may just be especially challenging because very few police officers want there to be division between themselves and their local community. It makes their jobs that much harder, and we know that Hondo as of late has been having a hard time as it is. That’s been one of the more interesting stories for this whole season, largely because you’ve gotten to see the prototypical TV tough-guy hero in a spot that is a little more vulnerable. It’s been sad to see him in that place, but also still good for the show. It’s added that extra layer and another gear.
