Fear the Walking Dead season 5 photo: Dwight’s crossover begins
The first photo above is of Austin Amelio from the third episode of season 5, and while it doesn’t show too much about Dwight’s involvement with the other characters, he certainly looks a little bit worse for wear. Odds are, he hasn’t been in the cushiest spot in the world since departing Sanctuary. He’s been experiencing more of life on the road and also doing his best in order to properly find himself and discover who he is. That’s not the easiest thing for anyone to do, especially in the zombie apocalypse.
Luckily, we do think that the’s got a chance alongside some of the other Fear the Walking Dead survivors to do a little bit of good, and this could prove itself to be one of the big messages in season 5. We think that many of the core characters are really going to take it upon themselves moving forward to help people out on the road in need, and so much of their drive comes from their own flaws and what they’ve been through. Morgan, for example, absolutely has a dark side — we certainly saw that on The Walking Dead proper.
While we don’t want to see Fear the Walking Dead just become a ground for characters from the original show to populate, we do like the Dwight addition. He was one of the more-interesting characters during his run on that show and with the sheer population over there, it was likely hard to find ways to incorporate him after going through what he did with Negan and Daryl.
