FBI: Most Wanted casts Game of Thrones alum in huge part
Per a new report coming in via TVLine, Keisha Castle-Hughes (who was one of the Sand Snikes on the HBO hit) has been officially brought on board the FBI spin-off in the world of Lynn Khanna, an FBI analyst who carries with her a rather-unique profile of her own. After all, she wears cowboy boots, she hails from Texas, and has a conservative family. She may be a little bit of an outlier from most everyone she knows — she is described as a “tough but playful old soul … Lynn is a master of data mining and social engineering who possesses a sharp, earthy sense of humor.”
This spin-off is one that only recently surfaced over at CBS, but it’s pretty clear that the network is high on the concept. They’d also like to do more work with Dick Wolf. The prolific showrunner already has a huge franchise over at NBC with One Chicago, and he’s certainly had one with Law & Order over the years. Wolf is listed as a co-writer on this project, which is another reminder of important he’s taking the pilot of it.
We’ve already reported that Julian McMahon of Nip/Tuck fame is being brought on board as the male lead for this project, and there will more than likely be a number of other notable names hired over the weeks to come. We’re absolutely psyched to see what’s coming for the show and some of the characters, provided that it officially gets off the ground. Nothing is 100% official just yet, but CBS will be put in a precarious position of paying a penalty in the event that the show is not being ordered to series.
The earliest we could see FBI: Most Wanted on the air is at some point this fall — Chicago PD launched at midseason, though, and we could be forced to wait a little bit longer depending on what some of the plans for the fall schedule are at the network.
