Grey’s Anatomy season 15: Caterina Scorsone talks big Amelia episode

Speaking via TVLine, Scorsone had the following to say about this episode — one that is certainly going to have our interest the moment that it airs:
“I’ve been doing the show for a long time and just hearing what it’s about fills me with nervous excitement … It’s almost like a little movie on its own.”
We know that not everyone loves it when Grey’s Anatomy makes some enormous break from form and does something a little bit different, but for us personally, we appreciate the change. It’s a chance to see a little bit of different energy for the series and with a series that has been airing for as long as this one has been that’s something we appreciate. We also imagine that it allows the show to be even more creatively satisfying for everyone behind the scenes. You don’t want to ever feel like you’re in a rut or some endless loop of just doing the same exact thing time and time again.
For those of you who also like watching Jo stories, Camilla Luddington also told the website that an upcoming spotlight episode for her was the “hardest episode” that she’s filmed since first joining the show. We don’t know whether to be incredibly excited or incredibly worried about that. This is a show, after all, that does supply both. The idea’s been out there that Jo will spend some time with her family this season, and it’s certainly possible this episode could be about that. Pretty much anytime that an actress has been booked for a guest spot on this show the past couple of months, we’ve immediately wondered if that person could end up playing her mother. It’s hard not to when you hear about some of what’s coming in advance.
While there’s a lot to look forward to with these stories, be prepared for something on Thursday that could put Meredith and her romantic life in the spotlight.
