‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: New video of Captain Hook, Lancelot

Typically in this space following a new episode of “Once Upon a Time,” we are going to have a new promo to share for what is coming up for the next new episode. However, the producers Sunday night decided to do things a little bit differently in airing what was instead a bit of a look ahead at the entire fall portion of the series.

With this in mind, there really were all sorts of goodies mixed in here for a show that managed to surpass season 1 on almost every level with its premiere. First, we had some additional shots of such much-anticipated new characters, with a rather youthful Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Lancelot (Sinqua Walls) being two of the more interesting faces. In addition, we also saw some crazy settings including what looks to be the famed pirate ship from the world of “Peter Pan.”

Overall, this trailer gives the feeling that what we are looking at here is going to be much more of an adventure show than what we saw from the series the last time we were in Storybrooke. We don’t have to spend as much time getting to know the characters now that they are already well engraved into our heads, so now, it’s really all about the good stuff: the story, the secrets, and the surprises. Let’s just hope that every episode from here on out keeps us guessing like the premiere, even if there cannot be a shocker on par with part of the fairy tale world still existing.
