Blue Bloods season 9 episode 13 video: Danny, Baez, & Maggie the medium
In the sneak peek for this particular episode, you can see Baez inform her partner that she’s asked Maggie the medium down to the precinct in order to assist on the case. Who is Maggie? Well, for starters, she is someone who claims that she communicated with the murder victim after their death. She’s claiming to have all of these paranormal abilities and regardless of whether or not that is actually the case, we are entering a position here where Danny and Baez don’t have many other avenues other than trying to work with her. How else are they going to be able to get some of the answers that they so seek? It’s not going to be easy.
It doesn’t seem like either Danny or Baez is super-keen on the idea of relying on the spirit world in order to get answers on this case, but at the same time Baez is a little bit more receptive to Maggie than Danny is. Instead of really thinking of anything in an investigative sense, the idea of working with her just sends Danny on a tear. He feels like at this point they may as well just used tarot cards to get a better sense as to what’s going on.
While on the surface this may appear to be one of the more comical cases of this season, it may not be the case. As a matter of fact, Donnie Wahlberg has already said on social media that this is one of the most emotional episodes of the season so far. Looks can be deceiving, and this episode (entitled “Ripple Effect”) is one you made need to stock up on tissues for. We do know that we’re going to be seeing at least one emotional moment coming up in the form of Eddie shopping for a wedding dress, but as to where some of the other emotional content is going to come from, that’s something that we may have to find out more about over time.
