‘2 Broke Girls’ preview: The aftermath of Martha Stewart

When you have an opportunity to have one of the most famous women in the entire domestic world taste one of your cupcakes, and she actually likes it, you tend to expect some rather great things to happen. With that in mind, there is going to be a great deal of anticipation from Max and Caroline on Monday night’s episode of “2 Broke Girls.” Unfortunately, it may not amount to much at all for them.

Here is the official synopsis for this episode (which has the incredibly-risque title of “And the Pearl Necklace”), and it suggests that our leading ladies are going to spend a great deal of the hour sitting around in a holding pattern:

“Max and Caroline attempt to keep faith that Martha Stewart, who tasted and liked one of their cupcakes in last season’s finale, will call and help support their business. Meanwhile, Caroline loses a lucky keepsake.”

We have a feeling that this very “keepsake” is going to be the necklace mentioned in the title, which in itself will probably lead to a series of jokes from Max about how dirty it is that she is running around talking about it all the time. (Hey, it’s still funny even if it is more than just a little bit predictable.) As for Martha Stewart, we don’t know if she will lend any support at all … but given that they lost $200 in the season premiere thanks to bidding on a trophy that they were convinced had money in it, they need all the help that they can get at this very moment.
