Manifest episode 14 preview: Is Saanvi missing? The latest search

As we approach Manifest episode 14 airing on NBC next week, one thing is becoming all the more clear — people go missing on this show a lot! First, it was Cal who turned up MIA, and we’re now having to brace ourselves for a world in which we’re going to be seeing Saanvi gone from her day-to-day life. This will lead to Ben and others rushing to find her, but the answers may be far from what some of these characters want.

In particular, everyone needs to be worried about a possible fanatical group coming and snatching up as many of these different characters as they can. Their motives are not altogether clear, but the ramifications of someone like Saanvi’s exit are pretty huge.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Manifest episode 14 synopsis for you with some more information on what you can expect to see moving forward:

02/04/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : When Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) goes missing, Ben (Josh Dallas) suspects a fanatical group who have become obsessed with the passengers from Flight 828. Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) must face the consequences of her reunion with Jared (J.R. Ramirez). Zeke (Matt Long) returns to New York and has an ominous calling. Also starring Athena Karkanis, Luna Blaise and Jack Messina. TV-PG L, S, V

Obviously, the idea of bringing Zeke back to New York has some interesting ramifications in its own right — he hasn’t had an identical experience to the passengers of Flight 828 and due to that, his calling could prove to be rather different. In general, we have to gear up here for an episode where there are a number of surprises across the board and some more twists nobody sees coming. There’s only a handful of episodes left on this season and you have to be prepared for some jaw-droppers because of that. Manifest is not the sort of show that is probably spending a lot of time trying to wrap up the story of the first season; instead, it’s probably focused more on extending it and clearing a pathway to season 2. This is a show with a mystery that has been designed to be fairly long-term; it wants to be a key part of NBC’s lineup for a little while.

On a more personal note for these characters, wouldn’t Michaela expect consequences if she got close to Jared again? She better be prepared for the inevitable here; there’s no good way around that no matter how hard she tries.
