Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 13 spoilers: Jennifer Grey’s appearance

Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 13 is set to be coming your way on February 14, and maybe there will be some romance during it. Yet, we’re not getting the sense that this is the top priority. Instead, the hospital is going to be on high alert and you’re going to have a chance to dive a little bit more into Maggie’s past.

It’s hard to even summarize everything that seems to be happening within this episode — so let’s have the official Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 13 synopsis do some of that instead:

“I Walk the Line” – A sea of patients flood Grey Sloan Memorial after gunfire goes off at a parade. A blast from the past throws Maggie off her game on the same day that Meredith tries to talk to her about dating Deluca. Meanwhile, Owen and Amelia get some potentially life-altering news about Betty on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, FEB. 14 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

What’s also worth noting is that this episode will be the one featuring an appearance from Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey — details are scarce about her character, but we can now reveal that her character’s name is Carol Dickinson. It almost goes without saying that this role will be significant, mostly because you do not cast an actor of Grey’s caliber unless you have a particularly notable part for them to play. Judging from the synopsis, there are a couple of different guesses you could make here…

1. She is someone from Maggie’s past – Could Grey be playing a former teacher, or someone who had a very important role in some of her early life? Whatever or whoever turns up from Maggie’s past is enough to startle her; we know her to be a fairly determined doctor, so they will have had to have a very significant role in her life in order for them to generate any sort of reaction like this.

2. Someone tied to Betty – Is she someone working to help Betty at rehab, or maybe some family member that has not been revealed so far? Given how important a character Betty has become to Owen and Amelia, both are worthy guesses.

Does this synopsis mean that Meredith is choosing DeLuca?

We’d like to think that, but it’s no guarantee — Meredith may just want Maggie’s position before she starts to commit to it more.
