Black Lightning season 2 episode 11 preview: What’s next for Jefferson, Tobias
Below, CarterMatt does offer the official Black Lightning season 2 episode 11 synopsis with some more information as to what’s coming up next:
Jefferson (Cress Williams) suspects that Tobias (Marvin Jones III) is behind a recent malicious attack. He brings this news to Henderson (Damon Gupton) but doesn’t get the answer he was looking for. Meanwhile, Lynn (Christine Adams) is confronted by her past.
From a drama standpoint, it’s always going to lead to a good outcome if you can have Jefferson and Tobias going at each other. These two guys are extremely formidable forces who are exceptional in any sort of political or violent conflict. It may not be good news to almost anyone else, but it works out well for the viewers.
What we are equally curious about entering next week is getting a better chance to gauge the success of this show. Despite getting off to a pretty incredible start last year, attention surrounding Black Lightning as a series has faded fairly quickly. It’s enough to make you wonder as to whether or not The CW made a mistake having the show stay separate from the Arrowverse, since it hasn’t had the same promotional platform as some of those other shows. It’s not necessarily faring any worse than them so far, but we’re entering a pretty pivotal test for it as it shifts timeslots and for the first time really all season, is separate from being behind the best lead-in that the network has in The Flash. Airing following the Scarlet Speedster is, of course, one of the best ways to generate some great performance and results right out of the gate.
Ultimately, the one thing that will help the future of Black Lightning more than anything else is that the story stays strong. If that happens, how can you not be fairly confident in the future?
