Blue Bloods season 9: When will the wedding dress episode air?

According to a report from TVInsider, this episode (which was teased recently with a few photos on an upcoming issue of TV Guide) is going to take place on the upcoming February 1 episode and there’s quite a lot to be excited about here. For starters, it’s a chance to see the Eddie character in a very-different context than we are all used to as viewers. I truly love Eddie the cop, but right now i’m more interested in seeing Eddie the bride. Searching for that perfect wedding dress can be a lot of fun, but it can also be a stressful situation until that perfect dress magically appears, so getting to see Eddie going through that process is something that is very relatable to a lot of us out there. When I was searching for my perfect wedding dress to marry Matt I went through a lot of different dresses before circling back to the first one I tried on. It’s going to be interesting to see if Eddie has an idea of what she wants going in or if this is going to be a process for her like it is for a lot of us.

Also, this is a good sign that Eddie and Jamie’s wedding could be happening at some point later this season. While typically TV couples only stay engaged for about a year or so’s time, there is no guarantee of anything. There were definitely some reasons to think that the show could opt to shake things up and try to delay things — after all, it doesn’t seem like anyone at Jamie and Eddie’s precinct is even aware of the fact that they are together. Also, NCIS: Los Angeles has already done a storyline where Kensi and Deeks took more than a year between their engagement and a wedding. Heck, they still aren’t married at this point!

What’s the best time for a wedding?

It still feels like May is the perfect time in order to do it, given that it is sweeps and that’s a big time in which networks like to take their big swings. This feels like the perfect finale story, mostly because it’s a chance for Blue Bloods to end the show on a nice, romantic note rather than something dramatic. That in itself would be different from what the series has done in the past.

Of course, you do also have to consider that Blue Bloods opts to do the thing where they couple something romantic here with also some big, dramatic story — it’s hard to imagine that the big Jamie – Eddie wedding day is going to go off without a hitch.
