This Is Us season 3 spoilers: Timeless’ Goran Visnjic set to appear

NBC confirmed on Tuesday that the Timeless actor, who is also set to appear in the upcoming season of Santa Clarita Diet, is going to be appearing in potentially multiple episodes as Vincent, a teacher of Beth’s. He will make his first appearance in the upcoming Beth-centric episode, where hopefully we will understand more in terms of her past. What we wonder now is this — is Vincent a teacher from her past, or someone she encounters as an adult who becomes important in her life now? Both are interesting possibilities.
We’re also of course curious as to how everything will connect to what we saw in the future with Beth at the dance studio — it certainly seems as though she’s found some success in her life after everything that transpired with her losing her job and the state of her relationship with Randall.
With Visnjic, what This Is Us is doing first and foremost is getting some more great talent on board and setting themselves up for what is hopefully going to be a very-successful final stretch of the season. The top story moving into the hour is of course going to be Nicky and seeing more of what comes next in terms of the revelation that this character is alive. While Kevin doesn’t really know all of the details just yet, we have to assume that some more are going to be coming in the near future. This is, at least for now, the biggest twist in the present-day timeline that we’ve seen. Note that we say the present, because it still feels as though there are a lot of different question marks out there for the future — though our theory is that Rebecca is dying and everyone is doing their best to prepare to say goodbye.
This Is Us will return from its winter hiatus tonight with a new installment, of course we’re going to be back later with some more thoughts on what transpires.
