Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 12 sneak peek: The start of Danny’s crisis

In a new sneak peek, which we have for you below via Entertainment Weekly, you do get a good sense as to how the crisis begins. Here, you can see Danny’s ex Rachel show up at his home to inform him that something has happened with Grace — she didn’t return home after attending a party and beyond that, she wasn’t answering her phone. She was also driving a new car, a gift from her stepdad Stan, and one that didn’t have plates on it yet.
So what resources did Danny ultimately have to find her? Think along the lines of putting a trace on her phone, which led to her being discovered at the scene of an accident. An ambulance was already there at the time Danny and Rachel arrived, and she was immediately sent away before they could check up on her.
As for some of the questions that we’re left to wonder now, they begin with why Grace was so far off the beaten path to begin with? Beyond that, it’s also unclear if this accident was caused by Grace, or by someone who was coming after her. While it’s hard to imagine anyone having a violent vendetta against a teenage girl, it’s a little bit easier to comprehend a situation in which someone chose to go after her as a means of getting vengeance on Danny. The list of people with a significant ax to grind against him is fairly long and there could be many criminals out there who choose to come after her — it’s an effective way to come after him.
This episode is going to be a huge strain on Danny, but at the same time it could lead to a great Scott Caan performance and a reminder that the character is not alone. He’s going to help from a number of other characters along the way, including of course Steve McGarrett.
