NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 11 video: The immediate aftermath

NCIS: New Orleans season 3 finale review

On tomorrow night’s NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 11, things are going to pick up immediately after the fall finale. With that in mind, you’re going to see a Dwayne Pride very much rocked by anger and grief. He will have just gone through something deeply traumatic and because of that, he will do his best in order to figure out how to move forward — while also suffering from a case of tunnel vision.

In the sneak peek below for this episode, you can see Wade do her best to comfort Pride from inside an ambulance, knowing that there may not be much that she can say in order to help him. He’s coping with the grief of losing his father Cassius, and at the same time we feel like she may be well aware that it could’ve been her. Loretta barely escaped this crisis with her life, but she seems to be putting any survivor’s guilt to the side in order to try to help Dwayne. She is one of the most-important friends that he has and she has certainly been there for him at many times in the past.

At the moment, though, it does not appear as though Dwayne is ready to do some sort of emotional deep-dive. Instead, he seems more preoccupied with trying to do what he can to handle the immediacy of the situation. What’s next in this episode is probably a desperate search on Pride’s part for the person or persons responsible for this catastrophe, including understanding why they chose to go about their attack on him in this way with the mysterious recording. Lives have been lost and the worst part is that we may not be at the worst of it just yet. So long as this voice is still out there, we do have a significant reason to worry.

Along the way in this episode, we hope that the entire NCIS team continues to do their best to be there for Dwayne. While he may not admit it (this is a character who, pun intended, is rather prideful), he is going to need just about every single ounce of sympathy that they have. They may also need to reel him in at times given that this is also a guy who has a tendency to put himself in harm’s way and he’s still not the guy he was before the shooting at the end of last season.
