The Good Doctor season 2 episode 12 spoilers: Does Dr. Lim survive?

Good Doctor season 2 episode 4

Want to know what’s coming up on The Good Doctor season 2 episode 12? Well, in advance of sharing some official details via ABC, we should go ahead and make one thing clear: There are some spoilers ahead from next week’s winter premiere.

Still with us? Well, the January 21 episode entitled “Aftermath” will be a true chance for the show to unwind a little bit after some of the dramatic reveals at the heart of the second part of “Quarantine,” including whether or not the hospital can ever get back to what it once was. The problem here is that the Department of Public Health is going to have some concerns and beyond just that, the hospital in its own right is in a little bit of a PR nightmare. We can imagine that if we were someone interested in having a procedure done — or just in a desperate medical state — the last place we’d want to go is somewhere that just had a massive quarantine crisis. It doesn’t matter how good some of the surgeons are or the overall quality of care.

Below, The Good Doctor season 2 episode 12 synopsis gives you all the information you’ll want to know leading up to the hour:

“Aftermath” – In the aftermath of the quarantine, the staff of San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital tries to return to their normal routines as the Department of Public Health office decides they need to review what transpired to restore public confidence. Meanwhile, as Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) recovers from the virus, she and Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) navigate their new personal and working relationship, while Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) and Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) try to relax and visit Lea (Paige Spara) at work, on “The Good Doctor,” MONDAY, JAN. 21 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

We’ve already seen some photos of Shaun and Dr. Glassman visiting Lea, and the three having a little bit of fun go-karting together. We imagine that this is, in some ways, their idea of living in the moment and trying to unwind in the midst of some recent and very-bad news. Depending on what happens on the other side of Dr. Glassman’s latest diagnosis, it does feel pretty-clear that he and the other characters are going to have a tough time. We want to continue to wish the best for him but we’ll be the first to admit that we’re very-much worried. Is Glassman really going to be able to recover from what’s happening with him?

As for Dr. Lim, we’re glad to know that she’s getting better — yet, she’s also far from being out of the woods.
