What’s going on here? If you remember, the fall finale ended with Max Goodwin collapsing out by the water, with nobody other than Georgia available to help. She’s not a doctor and with that, she’s not exactly prepared for what to do in this sort of situation. Luckily, she does know someone to call in this particular situation — which is what this preview is all about.
If you look via ET Canada, who is setting up the show’s return to Canadian network Global), what you can see is Georgia getting some spur-of-the-moment advice from Dr. Helen Sharpe as to how to handle this situation and move forward. There is a pretty-clear awareness that this is a dire situation and one that Georgia is going to have to act quickly on. That includes being able to cut into his throat so that he can actually be able to breathe. He’s not dead yet, but it is going to take her quick action to ensure that the situation stays this way.
While all of this is happening, back at the hospital everyone is going to have their own priorities and issues that they have to deal with. It shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone that the hospital is going to continue to run and take on patients as they normally would — while they may love and care for Max, they cannot stop operations just to care for him. They’ll do their best for him whenever he does end up arriving. For now, all they can do is wait and see.
Will this episode still air at its standard time?
At the moment, we’re assuming that it will — yet, there is a chance that a last-minute Presidential Address could delay it, at least in the United States. This is still somewhat of a fluid situation and with that, the best advice that we can really offer you is to just keep your eyes peeled and stay tuned for some more updates.
