House of the Dragon season 3 episode 7 promo: Alicent’s arrival

As we brace for Sunday’s House of the Dragon season 3 episode, it does feel apparent that we are going to see some pieces move along the board in dramatic fashion. Characters could die, but above all else we are left to wonder how in the world anything is going to be tied together anytime soon.

After all, remember for a moment the rather-crazy fact that there are only two episodes left this season and beyond just that, season 4 is the final one! Presuming that there are only eight episodes in that season, we are left in a super-crazy position where there are only ten episodes left in the series overall. We just have to wait and see then who lives and who dies.

If you head over to the link here right now you can see the latest House of the Dragon preview, one that does a great job of better setting the table for some of the drama to come. You have in here Alicent paying a visit to her son Aemond at Harrenhal, something that Alys immediately calls out as what it is: A manipulation. She is working to do what she can to ensure both her and Helaena’s safety. Meanwhile, back in King’s Landing Rhaenyra is imploring her sister to give her some information. (Yes, it is still crazy to think that technically, the two are siblings.) Given Helaena’s ability to sometimes be clairvoyant, she could hold some value here.

Of course, there is one more thing to remember here with Ormund, as well — we are watching everything escalate. Why would we ever think that this is about to stop?
