Golden Globes 2019 red carpet live stream: Start time, Where to watch
Of course, if you are watching on TV there are some venues that you can check out for continuous red-carpet coverage — with E! being near the top of the list in terms of notoriety. Their coverage starts at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time, hours before the start of the show, with what is likely going to be a fashion and awards-focused special.
As for a red carpet live stream, that’s going to begin, per the tweet below, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time or 6:00 p.m. Eastern. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (the group behind the Globes) is going to be responsible for running this stream, and hopefully you can get a sense of the fashion and everything else in Hollywood through it. The Golden Globes red carpet is a fairly unique one in that it combines the world of TV and film for what is at times a fun, fascinating viewing experience. It does have a formal atmosphere to it that serves as a rather-nice precursor to the Oscars, but it also gives TV stars a little bit of time shine. We expect them to make some of the bigger fashion choices tonight because this is the biggest platform that they will have to do so until the Emmys later this year. Movie stars are going to have another chance via the Oscars a little bit later in the winter.
The Golden Globes themselves are going to air on NBC starting in primetime and there is room for a lot of notable stuff to happen during them. After all, Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg are going to be hosting and that unique one-two punch should be an opportunity for all of us watching at home to have some fun. There is still also some room for some memorable speeches and sentimental moments. We do like that there is a certain unpredictability to the Globes at times, which we assume stems in part from the fact that there are often a lot nerves that can come up over the course of the night. For some people out there, this is their first major award show that they have been a part of — it’s a chance to get those butterflies out of your system.
