When Supernatural season 14 episode 10 airs on CBS, be prepared to see the immediate aftermath of the fall finale. We’d say that the stakes at the moment are pretty darn high.

At the end of this past episode, we saw Michael decide that he was going to inhabit Dean once more and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though there is anything that Dean can do about it. He’s stuck in this place and because of that, it seems like everything is about to go downhill fast for some of the characters. So where do they go from here? Well, think in terms of Sam trying to figure out the right way to be a hero. He obviously does not want anything to happen to his brother so with that in mind, he’s going to do his best in order to come up with a plan. It’s not going to be easy, but very few things ever are.

From a behind-the-scenes standpoint, this episode is exciting given that Amanda Tapping (who has appeared on the show before in front of the camera) is slated to direct.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Supernatural season 14 episode 10 synopsis offers up some more insight on what lies ahead:

THE BATTLE AT HITOMI PLAZA CONTINUES – Michael has re-taken control of Dean (Jensen Ackles) as his army of monsters continues to move in on our heroes. Sam (Jared Padalecki) devises a plan to try and reach Dean and stop Michael before anyone else has to die. The episode was directed by Amanda Tapping and written by Steve Yockey (#1410). Original Airdate 1/17/2019.

So are we going to see Dean come back within this episode? We certainly hope so, just because we feel like Supernatural is not the same without him — yet, counter-intuitive as it may seem, we’re glad that there was at least one more episode left for Michael. This allowed us to more or less get the best of both worlds, since it didn’t feel like we initially got enough of Michael early on in this story. We’re fine with him continuing to make his presence known down the road, but we hope that if that happens, he ends up finding some sort of other vessel instead. Time will tell when it comes to that.
