Now, we’ve got a promo below that seems to confirm much of what we’re talking about here. In this promo, the Creepy CBS Narrator Guy specifically mentions the Pied Piper by name as you see a number of children descend upon a park before eventually being brought into a white van. (Seriously? We’re going with the white van here? That’s not suspicious at all…)
Anyhow, the appeal of this episode going into it is a chance for the Criminal Minds writers’ room to take on a subject and then twist it on its head. That’s something that the show has done well over the years with various urban legends and myths — it allows them to be a little bit creative, which we imagine is very much appreciated given the fact that there are so many cases that the team has to come up with a year — we feel like on some level, it’s gotta be tough to continue to come up with original ideas.
One more thing to remember
There are only four more episodes left this season! We hope that these are especially strong and the writers find a way to ensure that almost every moment counts here. After all, this is going tob e the best way in which to ensure that there is a season 15 down the road. We definitely do think that there are enough stories to tell in order for a renewal to happen. We just hope that there’s an opportunity and a surge in the numbers.
Remember that beyond this episode, there are a few more things to look forward to, including the directorial debut of AJ Cook and also what’s hopefully going to be an epic finale.
