The Resident season 2 episode 10 spoilers: Is Lane Hunter released?

The Resident

The Resident season 2 episode 10 is the winter premiere for the series and it’s pretty darn fair to call this installment intense. After all, this is where you’re going to see the other side of the two cliffhangers following the first half of the season. We know that the lives of both Marshall Winthrop and Julian are in jeopardy, but for entirely different reasons. Marshall’s dealing with a health-related crisis, while Julian may be getting killed off as a result of what she knows via Quovadis, the mafia-esque medical device company at the center of the series.

We’ve said this before, but we’re a little more hopeful about Marshall’s future than we are Julian’s. Why? Well, he’s at a hospital whereas she is out in a body of water. He’s got more care immediately at his disposal and that is something that matters when lives are on the line.

Below, CarterMatt has the full The Resident season 2 episode 10 synopsis with some more insight regarding what’s next — especially in terms of Dr. Lane Hunter:

Lane Hunter’s (guest star Melina Kanakaredes) victims and their families become outraged when she is released from prison. Bell, although responsible for posting Lane’s bail and getting her released, continues to be tortured by her manipulation. Meanwhile, Conrad uses work to cope with the news about his father, and he teams up with Mina, Kit and the Raptor to treat a patient who is suffering as a result of Lane’s dangerous treatments. Then, Devon grows worried when he doesn’t hear from Julian, and Nic sets her sights on a primary physician (guest star Miles Gaston Villanueva) for their new clinic in the all-new “After the Fall” winter premiere episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, Jan. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-210)

The return of Lane Hunter into the real world is one of the most fascinating parts of this upcoming story to us, mostly because it’s clear the sort of person she is. Yet, at the same time Dr. Bell finds himself completely stuck, or at least that is what his ego is telling him. He wants to keep his career intact and he doesn’t want Lane to sabotage him. This is the best way that he sees himself moving forward, though at the same time doing this is almost certainly going to have some rather harsh ramifications. He has to face everyone else who was involved in the saga and deal with many of their thoughts.
