Grey’s Anatomy season 15: Is there anything between Meredith, Koracick?

While it may be somewhat-tempting to think that this is the case — at least for some out there — it doesn’t seem that this is the case. Not only that, but it seems like it was never the case for this character to be in the running for Meredith’s heart. There’s never been anything explicitly romantic between the two, but some of the chemistry that is there has been intriguing, to say the least.
Here’s some of what executive producer Krista Vernoff had to say on that subject via TVLine:
“In my mind, Koracick was never in the running for Meredith … [Ellen Pompeo and Greg Germann] really love working together; maybe you’re [picking up] on that. Greg is such a delightful actor, and they have such a blast working together.”
The thing that we’ve wondered, more so than whether or not Meredith and Koracick will get together, is why Germann has not been promoted to a series regular just yet. He’s really become a natural part of the Grey’s Anatomy world and there is just something about his wit and biting sense of humor that we appreciate greatly. Plus, the guy basically thinks of himself as a god — which is kind of funny, given that Germann previously played the god of the underworld Hades on Once Upon a Time.
So with all of this said, go back ahead and write down Link and Deluca as the two contenders for Meredith moving into the new year. These are characters who both have shown specific affection towards her and they could each prove to be interesting partners. Yet, with that said, all of this feels very early and neither character has been around that long that we know them incredibly well. It feels like there is still more to learn about both of them, who they are, and precisely what they want out of the rest of their lives. This is a story that could play out for a little while at the start of the new year, though personally I would like to see at least a little bit of resolution to it by the time the end of the season rolls around. At that time, it could be best for the series to really start to move forward.
