Chicago Fire season 7 episode 10 spoilers: Casey’s peril; plus, a field trip

As you likely recall, the end of the fall finale featured Casey and Naomi in danger as his apartment was on fire. Right after the two slept together, they are waking up to realize the inferno around them. There are obviously questions to wonder in regards to how they landed in this situation, but for now, survival is the #1 priority. They can focus more on the how, and explaining everything to Firehouse 51, on the other side of this crisis.
We should also note, meanwhile, that Chicago Fire is not going to be dramatically changing its format for this particular episode. There are some other stories that will take place, including the latest for Severide and Stella and then also something a little bit more lighthearted for Brett and Foster. 01/09/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : A dangerous situation leaves Casey and Naomi in peril. Foster and Brett are in charge of planning a field trip visit to the station while Severide and Kidd go through tough times.
We certainly do wonder how easy / hard this situation is going to be for Sylvie and Emily; it’s one thing trying to make sure a children’s field trip is successful, but it’s another altogether to have the firefighters pretend that everything is okay. Can you imagine a self-sabotaging Severide being altogether interested in encouraging kids to be firefighters at some point down the line? Is Casey even going to be in one piece for it? They’ve got their work cut out for them, but if successful, this could be the dose of lighthearted energy we need in the midst of what could be a fairly dark episode elsewhere. (Interestingly enough, balancing out lighter and darker stories should be the one thing that this Chicago Fire episode is more prepared for than almost anything else.)
