Shadowhunters season 3 tease: A Magnus – Alec moment

If you take a look at the bottom of this article, you can see via the show’s official Twitter a small tease of Harry Shum Jr. and Matthew Daddario — it’s the perfect thing for Christmas Eve, especially for many Malec fans out there who’ve been waiting for a few more teasers as to what’s going to be coming up for these characters moving forward. We know that when the final twelve episodes of season 3 premiere, these two are going to be in a rather-fascinating place. Magnus will have made a rather-enormous sacrifice in order to sever the tie of Jace to Lilith, but in doing so much of his life could be different. Luckily, he will still have Alec on his side. This storyline could put the character in a vulnerable place, and we welcome that as someone who likes to see great material for Shum and Daddario.
Of course, there are many a memorable scene coming for Malec throughout the rest of season 3, but we hesitate to say too much more in fear of giving something away. What we’re confident about at the moment is this — if the end of season 3 does turn out to be the end of the series, the writers will have done their best to ensure that longtime viewers and fans of this couple are satisfied.
One more thing we wonder…
Freeform put in the Malec tease that it is tease 24 in their “25 days of teasers” series. Given that tomorrow is Christmas and therefore the final day, are they planning something big for the final tease? While we haven’t heard anything one way or another, it certainly does feel like the right time to share the official trailer. For starters, it’ll be Christmas! Also, it’s been a rough year for the fandom and it will give everyone a reason to smile — it’s also the perfect time for it given that we’re about two months away from the return of the show.
