Is Blindspot new tonight on NBC? What we expect in season 4

Blindspot season 4

Is Blindspot new tonight on NBC? In this article, we’re taking on that question — while also looking more towards the future of season 4.

Let’s start things off here, though, by getting the bad news out of the way — there is no new episode coming up on the series tonight, and you’re going to have to wait until we get around to Friday, January 11 in order to see more of what lies ahead.

Hopefully, though, the recent fall finale did just enough to get your blood pumping for what is coming up … especially when it comes to that big story revolving around Remi and Weller. The two squared off in the closing minutes of the fall finale but, alas, the NBC show wasn’t altogether keen to show you the end result of it. As a matter of fact, they’re keeping the end result of that so tight-lipped that they are not even showing it off at the moment in the promo for the episode (watch here).

So what could actually happen on the other side of this showdown? Well, it seems hard to imagine the series killing off either Jaimie Alexander or Sullivan Stapleton, given that the two are integral to the overall success of the series and they are the two foundational characters that everything else, more or less, revolves around. Yet, we do think that there will still be consequences of their showdown that could have ramifications down the line. Will someone stop the two of them from killing each other? That’s certainly possible.

The main goal for the second half of the season

At the moment, we think that this is rather simple: Finding a way in order to get Jane back to being Jane. We know that Weller is willing to risk her life for it, and as terrible as that thought may be, this could end up being the sort of commitment that it takes. He knows Jane and, beyond that, knows her intentions. Remi is a completely different animal, someone who could cause the destruction of valuable institutions if she continues to roam around and cause problems unchecked.

Note that Blindspot does still have more than half of the season to go; with that in mind, we’ll have a little bit more in the way of information online the moment that it starts to come out. (We expect more before the end of the year.)
