What’s coming up on this episode is going to be incredibly intense, and while there is a holiday theme to the story, it seems like that is more of just the setup to what lies ahead than anything else. The case begins this week with an incident at a Christmas-tree farm, one that leads to a reservist with a gun being out on the loose. The problem that this poses for the team is that this is someone with a history of PTSD and dangerous behavior. With that in mind, there is a sense of urgency when it comes to trying to find this man and stop him from doing any harm.
There are episodes of this show where there is some sort of mystery; meanwhile, there are also episodes that are almost all action, all the time. It does feel like this is going to be more of the latter rather than the former. The team will rush to find this person while, at the same time, find a way to celebrate the holidays.
What else is out there?
Well, we are aware of the fact that we’re going to have a chance to see the return of Anna and Arkady within this episode … even though there isn’t a lot of footage out there about them just yet. This episode could be hugely important for the future of Callen — he needs to figure out precisely what the future holds for him and Anna, and that also includes whether or not she will ever get out of prison. We know that there are a number of different people out there hoping that this is some sort of secret undercover mission that Anna is on at the moment … but we really don’t want to get our hopes up on anything when we are thinking this far in advance.
Hopefully, there’s a nice moment in here for Kensi and Deeks, as well — this could be the last holiday season before we get around to a wedding! (Or, this is what we hope.)
