Poldark season 5 filming continues, as premiere date still far away

Recently, the cast and crew for the BBC series were present in the town of Frome, which is located northeast from Cornwall. Nonetheless, the city has the perfect look for what the series is still looking to present for the final season. Aidan Turner (Ross) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza) were each spotted, and this is not the first time that the cast has been in this particular reason.
So how far along is the cast with the final season? All signs point to them being reasonably close to the end of the road. Filming is already done in Cornwall itself, and for season 4 filming wrapped up pretty early on in the year. With that in mind, we do think that everyone will be done with season 5 before we get altogether deep into 2019. That means that the cast can officially start to look ahead towards whatever the remainder of their careers will look like — we certainly do think that there is going to be no shortage of opportunities for any of them. These are people who are rather exceptional at what it is that they do and they are going to be able to have an opportunity to dive in and explore some different creative avenues.
Ultimately, at least we’ve still got some time to say goodbye to these characters given that there are a nice handful of episodes still to come … though we don’t foresee the BBC being in too much of a hurry to even tease them. Maybe in the spring, we’ll have a chance to see a little bit of the first footage for what lies ahead. It’d be nice to see how writer Debbie Horsfield chooses to interpret some of the source material as the characters of Ross and Demelza get older — the challenge is that in the books, they age at a far more rapid pace than the actors are in real life, doing a single season a year.
