NCIS season 16 episode 10 sneak peek: The last case before Christmas

There are a few different super-fun things that you get a chance to learn in this preview, starting with some of the various team member’s holiday plans. For example, Jack Sloane is preparing to head up to Vermont for a relaxing holiday season. Meanwhile, Torres is going to spend some time with Palmer and his family — which apparently is enough time around kids for him. Kasie, meanwhile, has opted to forgo a cruise just so that she can get a little bit of work done.
Ultimately, we would say that this entire sneak peek is a good reminder that when you try so hard not to jinx something, you end up doing that very thing. Everyone was super-eager to get started on their festivities when Gibbs comes in to announce that the body of a Navy veteran has been found. Typically, these sorts of cases are not within their jurisdiction, but this is what happens around the holidays when there is more crime and various departments get slammed. NCIS is left to pick up the pieces and while they may all hope that this is a fairly-simple case to resolve, they are probably going to realize along the way that it is anything but. They’re going to want to have a pretty easy case, but this one could be one of their hardest ones of the season to date — after all, we do know that a baby is going to be discovered during it and over the course of the episode, one of the primary struggles is going to be finding a way to identify the baby while also trying to solve the main case itself. There’s a lot going on here but, given that this is the final episode of the year, it makes sense for the producers to want to cram a lot of good stuff in. (New episodes will resume for the CBS show in January.)
