Golden Globes 2019 nominations: Caitriona Balfe, Richard Madden, Jim Carrey, & more

This morning, the 2019 Golden Globes nominations are officially being announced and with that in mind, we’re happy to be here to share the nominations and some super-quick reactions. Rest assured, we’re going to be back to discuss some more surprises and snubs soon. These nominations are being announced bright and early in the morning — perhaps too bright and early for many people out there on the West Coast!

Take a look at all of the nominations below — our earliest thoughts here are that the Globes really dislike Westworld this year, really love Bodyguard, and were more than happy to give The Americans a ton of love for the final season. Also, the fact that The Handmaid’s Tale didn’t get a Drama Series nomination shows that the Globes this year are really craving new series as opposed to established hits in some of its main categories. Out of all of the main series nominations, only three of them in The Americans, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and The Good Place were actually on the air one year ago.
