Blue Bloods season 9 episode 10 preview: The ‘Authority Figures’ story
The next new episode coming up on CBS carries with it the title of “Authority Figures” and over the course of this hour, one of the biggest things that you can expect is power structure. With Frank, he continues to have to find ways in which to wield his power as commissioner. It’s a job that he takes very seriously, as he really should. Who would ever question him on that? Beyond just that, though, Eddie seems to take it upon herself to get back at someone who seems to be questioning and mocking Jamie’s authority. Maybe this is something that Jamie should be handling himself as the superior, but she loves him and with that, she is willing to do more or less what she can in order to stand up for him. That could potentially be to her detriment, especially if it ends up coming out along the way that she and Jamie are romantically intertwined. (Somehow, they’ve been able to keep this under wraps.)

“Authority Figures” – When a video surfaces of officers partaking in a clear case of entrapment, Frank focuses on finding the cop who leaked the video. Also, Eddie retaliates against a co-worker who is pranking Jamie; Danny and Baez investigate the murder of a tabloid writer who worked in the hip-hop scene; and Erin gives a high-profile case to a young ADA under her tutelage, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Dec. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Out of all of the stories that are mentioned in here, the Erin one feels like the one that could have some of the largest consequences — even if it may not merit a lot of attention at face value. Let’s just put it this way: If something horrific happens that causes Erin to realize that her decision with the young ADA was a bad idea, that could have far-reaching consequences moving forward.
While there is clearly a lot of meaty, interesting stuff happening within this epsiode, we are still left with another important question to ponder: Is it possible that we could get a big Baez storyline at some point? We don’t think that she’s gotten enough of a focus so far this season for our liking.
