What’s coming up on Magnum PI episode 10? This episode, entitled “Bad Day to Be a Hero,” could end up being the final episode of the entire year. With that in mind, we’re expecting all sorts of entertainment here from start to finish — it’s a chance to leave viewers on a high note heading off into the holiday season … and also allow us a chance to get more personal information about Rick at the same time. This could be one of that character’s most-important stories to date!

“Bad Day to be a Hero” – Magnum must help Rick’s crush, Toni (guest star Jamie-Lynn Sigler), after her illegal poker game, organized to pay back a mob debt, is robbed by masked gunmen, on MAGNUM P.I., Monday, Dec. 10(9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Corbin Bernsen guest stars as Icepick, an incarcerated father-type presence in Rick’s life.

As this episode gets further and further along, our hope is that we will understand more of what makes Rick tick — but also to get a great performance from Corbin Bernsen. He is one of the best character-actors out there and Magnum PI is certainly lucky to have him around. Given the importance of Icepick to Rick, it’s fair to say that he is the sort of guy who could also turn up in some capacity down the road … or at least this is what we are personally hoping at the moment.

On the other side of this episode…

There could be multiple new episodes of Magnum PI in January, but the most notable one is clearly going to be the one that airs following the AFC Championship Game! This is the biggest ratings platform that the reboot will receive this year and it is prime real estate to potentially give the show a ratings bump. We’re all for anything that helps the series get a second season; hopefully, we’ll get good news on a renewal at some point within the first few months of the new year!
