Want to know what’s coming up on SWAT season 2 episode 10? Let’s just say that the holiday season could be a part of the story … but it’s definitely not the only part, either. “1000 Joules” is going to be an episode that features one a particularly dangerous case that puts Hondo and the team out on the hunt for some DNA evidence kits. Thinking about that is going to be one part of the story, but the other part of it will be a little bit more personal and a reminder of what matters the most this time of year. We do think, after all, that this is a part of the most fundamental, important stuff when it comes to this show — trying to find a way to bring back some important themes of the season like family, love, and caring for one another.
For a little more news now when it comes to what lies ahead, all you have to do is check out the official SWAT season 2 episode 10 below:
“1000 Joules” – The SWAT team sets out to recover dozens of DNA evidence kits stolen from an LAPD crime lab and bring in the crew responsible, after a close friend of Captain Hicks is harmed during the theft. Also, financial strain at home makes it difficult for Deacon to focus on his role as leader of the SWAT division’s annual holiday toy drive, on S.W.A.T., Thursday, Dec. 6 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Does this seem like a great episode to anyone else? We do think that the writers are laying a good foundation for one. Holiday episodes are important, especially if SWAT ends up being the sort of show that lasts for many years. These help to establish a sense of community between viewers and the cast and crew, and that can help for many more seasons moving forward.
Of course, there is one other thing to remember here in the event you do want to get SWAT to be around for a few more seasons: Watching live! The ratings for the series are such that you probably can’t expect it to be around for too much longer unless a) there is either some consistency in the new year or b) there is some other way to start bringing in buzz. While Shemar Moore is a great lead for a series, at the same time it is averaging only a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic — that puts it on the low end of CBS’ entire scripted drama slate and that’s not altogether great.
