So what are the chances that we actually see Percy on the show moving forward? As of right now, we would argue that there is a reasonably-good chance that we could see more of him. There are going to be opportunities to bring Clifton Powell back, especially since we’re probably going to be spending plenty of time moving forward at the Kamkona’s restaurant setting. Given that they’ve spent so much time setting up that location, why drift away from it now when there is no real reason to do so. We feel reasonably confident that there is so much more story to tell here.
Also, who knows? Maybe when we see Grover’s brother again, there are going to be some more opportunities to see him within a more positive environment and see how their relationship as brothers grows. Or, who knows? Maybe he’s in a situation where he needs Grover’s help. Once you’ve established this sort of deep history of this character, what we’re really excited to see here is how the story could continue to unfold with a new set of variables. Even if Percy and Lou are in a better place now, there’s no guarantee it will stay that way.
As of right now, we haven’t heard all that much about Powell or this character coming back — but, who knows? There may still be another opportunity for this moving into the future depending on if we’re getting another Grover spotlight and Powell’s availability. It’s a real credit to this past episode (and also Chi McBride’s ability as a writer) that we are this invested in this relationship.
