Chicago Fire season 7

Chicago Fire season 6 episode 9 is going to prove itself to be a huge one. How could it not be when you are talking about the fall finale? This is a chance for an exciting episode and, beyond just that, a big midseason cliffhanger if Derek Haas and the writers decide to go that route.

Below, CarterMatt has the Chicago Fire season 6 episode 9 synopsis, which at least gives you a small sense of some of what is coming your way within this hour of TV:

12/05/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Stakes are high when a massive car pile-up on the freeway impacts someone dear to the firehouse family. Brett and Foster encounter a harrowing call while Kidd and Severide find their relationship being tested. TV-14

If there is some good news within that synopsis (remember, good news here can be relative), it is that the incident on the freeway is apparently only “impacting” someone dear to the firehouse family. That doesn’t mean anyone is going to die, and we really hope that everyone stays alive given the fact that we just went through a lot with losing Benny Severide.

In speaking of the Severide family, Stella and Kelly’s relationship is the one that seems to be put to the test the most right now, which makes a good bit of sense given the fact that these two are suddenly the most-prominent relationship on the show with Dawson gone. They’re not the longest-tenured (Mouch and Platt have that beat by a mile), but they command a good bit of screen time and to date have had a good many highs and lows. Yet, we are fairly confident that this could be the Kelly relationship that lasts. For starters, they’ve already done the thing where they tried it and it didn’t work out. Now, they’re in a different place in their relationship, one where we think that Kelly is a little more prepared for a commitment. Beyond just that, we feel like losing Benny will cause him to put stock more in the people who are around him. He doesn’t necessarily need to get down on one knee and propose soon, but he should start thinking more about the future. It feels like it’s the right time.
