Blue Bloods season 9 episode 8 video: Dive into ‘Stirring the Pot’
On this past episode, it felt as though there was a temporary treaty-of-sorts between the two characters. Mostly, we mean this in the form of Erin realizing that Frank had to do his job publicly, but this was hardly an indictment on how he feels about his daughter or her job. He just has to admonish the District Attorney’s office if there is something that he disagrees with as a leader.
So where are things going between the two of them next, based on the promo below? Much of the conflict between them is now stemming from legislation, something that is backed by Erin and other members of the DA’s office. The discussions that they have now seem to be a continuation of some of what they’ve already talked about; they have to come to terms with the fact that they will disagree. As much as Frank may admire Erin, said admiration only goes so far when work is involved.
Beyond just with Frank, Bridget Moynahan is getting some other great material in this episode courtesy of a face-off with the governor (David Zayas) when it comes to sex-trafficking legislation. Basically, she’s trying to be a hero on a number of different fronts all at one time. Will it be too much for her to take on? Let’s hope not!
As for what else is coming up, this could be a pivotal episode for Jamie Reagan — but not for any reason that has to do with Eddie. Instead, Jamie may be involved in an incident that has him wondering whether or not he is fully capable of being the Sergeant that he has been appointed to be. We know that personally, he’s more than qualified … but it’s understandable for him to have a few doubts. This is what happens when you are in power and all of a sudden, you start feeling all of these eyeballs staring at you that weren’t there previously. You have to contend with judgment and pressure in a very different way.
For those wondering about Danny, he’s not focused on in the promo … but we’re still hoping that we get to see him reeling from the revelation that Delgado / the cartel are responsible for Linda’s death. That is something that could haunt his dreams for some time.
