Below, CBS confirms (via Twitter) that in many markets — including Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago, Buffalo, and parts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan — that the three series are going to be starting a little bit later than usual. With that being said, at least they are still starting earlier than they do most nights in 8:17 p.m. Eastern time for God Friended Me (every other show follows by the hour). The same can be said for viewers in parts of Texas and New England, where these shows will begin starting at 8:15 p.m. Eastern. (60 Minutes is already on the air in all Central / Eastern markets.)

The obvious reason for the delay is the same one that we usually have: The NFL overrun. It happens all the time in the fall and we feel like most people are well aware of it. We do think that there is definitely a reason to check out these shows live even in spite of the delays, though, starting of course with entertainment factor. Beyond that, NCIS: Los Angeles may be airing an especially-important story for Shay Mosley tonight, as she goes on the run after killing a member of the cartel. If you want to preview that further, you can do that just by heading over to the link here.

By and large, we’d say to go and anticipate these delays being a pattern for all of these shows until at least December — typically CBS takes a long winter hiatus for their Sunday shows and on the other side of that, we may at least be in a position where they will start to air at their standard times again.
