NCIS season 16: What would be best overall crossover? (Crossover November)

NCIS

We’re in the month of November, and with that, we’re happy to say that Crossover November is upon us! Throughout this month, we’re going to be looking at a number of different shows and pontificating on what would be the best possible crossover featuring the current casting crew. We’ll present a few different ideas, and at the end of post a poll for you to share your thoughts. This is all for fun, and this isn’t a contest where we’re closing the poll at a given time. It’s just a way for us all to be creative!

For this particular article, we’re kicking things off with NCISa series that so many of us love and one that has unlimited crossover potential already. (For some related NCIS video content, be sure to look at the bottom of this article — you can also subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for even more insight, and take a look at our show playlist for a little more of the latest from NCIS.)

Magnum PI – For starters, Gibbs probably does need a larger vacation that Fornell will not interrupt. Beyond just that, it’d be fun to see how he reacts to a rule-breaker like Thomas Magnum. If he thought trying to control Nick Torres was tough, he better be prepared for this!

NCIS: Los Angeles – We know that this is an obvious choice, but when you think about it, it’s really not. How many crossovers have there really been over the years? We want to see McGee, Deeks, and Kensi in a scene together…

Criminal Minds – It’s almost certain to never happen since the two shows come from different studios, but it’s the sort of thing that we imagine many people would want after watching them over the years. After all, aren’t the two offices, at least in a fictional sense, really close to one another? Maybe there is an UnSub out there who just so happens to be a member of the service … or maybe someone is targeting sailors or Marines and they need some extra help.

Blue Bloods – Gibbs vs. Frank Reagan. Two very serious, very foreboding individuals who inspire confidence in a lot of the people working around them. Tonally the two shows are not identical (Blue Bloods doesn’t use humor anywhere near as much), but this is still an idea that has been on our mind — couldn’t a few NCIS team members travel to New York for a crisis?
