Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 5 video: Can Meredith get through to Teddy?

Grey's Anatomy season 14

After taking last week off, Grey’s Anatomy is coming back on Thursday night with season 15 episode 5. Based on what we’re seeing now, this episode is going to be quite the adventure.

In the video below (thanks to Caterina Online for the find — this originally aired on Ellen), you can see Meredith and Teddy having a discussion about a very pressing matter: Teddy’s pregnancy. Meredith just discovered the news on this past episode and, being the person that she is, she wants to try and make the situation better for everyone. Of course, the problem here is that this is not going to be easy to resolve.

For Teddy, she understandably feels a lot of anger over the situation. Her romantic relationship with Owen was brief, to say the least, and it may have been motivated by a less-than-ideal desire on his part. Now, she’s in a position where the rest of her life is changing and she doesn’t know precisely what to do … beyond of course angrily making baked goods. This is going to take her some time to figure out, but Meredith encourages her not to wait forever. Even if she and Owen are not together, and even if they don’t get along, he will still be a great father to her baby. That’s something that she may want for them down the road. It’s a selfless act and it may not be easy, especially since this will cause a major disruption to everything that Owen has going on with Amelia and the adoption storyline that he’s been a part of for a while.

Hopefully, we’re getting to a point where there is some resolution down the road — it definitely does feel like we’ve been building in this direction for a while.
