Outlander notes: Sam Heughan as Mirror Master; new hidden talents!
Before we get to that, though, let’s get to the video below since it gives you a sense of the Outlander cast’s hidden talents. Richard Rankin can play drums, John Bell can wiggle his ears, Caitriona Balfe can make a “pretty mean smoothie,” Sophie Skelton can make a clover with her tongue, and Sam Heughan can apparently jungle. (There’s also a fun moment at the end of this where Richard tries, and fails, to follow the lead of Sophie in the tongue department.)
While there may be nothing altogether substantial in this new video, it just brings a smile to our face to see the cast goofing off on set.

Sam Heughan as Mirror Master!
For those of you who love comics books, video games, and LEGO, this is right up your alley. This weekend, it was officially confirmed that Heughan has provided the voice to the iconic The Flash villain Mirror Master for the just-released Lego DC Super-Villains game across different platforms. We’ve played some other games in this series before (many years ago, mind you) and had some fun with them — if you love comic-book characters, this could be up your alley.
We’ve said this before in our coverage of The Flash on The CW, but Mirror Master is actually one of our favorite villains … though the show didn’t quite know how to replicate some of his mirror-traveling powers for television. That character was played on the series by Station 19 star Grey Damon; if the DC Cinematic Universe ever needs a movie version, Sam would actually be a pretty good fit for it!
As always, we welcome your thoughts in the comments — we’ll have more Outlander updates, at least one per you a day, leading up to the season 4 premiere in two weeks.
