Blue Bloods season 9 episode 6 spoilers: Meet Eddie’s new partner!

Blue Bloods season 9

There are a few things worth noting about Blue Bloods season 9 episode 6 on CBS on November 2, with Eddie’s new partner being among them.

Thanks to the episode that aired last night on CBS, we know now that Eddie is over at the same precinct as Jamie. Yet, that doesn’t mean that they are working together all the time. Eddie is now under him and she is also working with someone new. They may be effective at their job much of the time, but what happens when something goes wrong? That is a little bit of something that this episode, entitled “Trust,” is going to discuss.

For a little more information on the story for this particular week, take a look at the full Blue Bloods season 9 episode 6 synopsis below:

“Trust” – Eddie and her new partner, Maya (Yasha Thompson), clash with Jamie on the job when they fail to intervene in a public dispute at a convenience store. Also, Danny and Baez investigate the death of a college freshman at a fraternity party, and Frank battles a lawsuit when a sergeant accuses the department of reverse racism and ageism, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

For Jamie, this episode may be about trusting Eddie to do her job, but also trusting that if the has to criticize her publicly, his relationship away from work will also be okay. This same theme could be translated over to the Frank storyline, given that he is going to have to work to convince the NYPD and the public that he is not doing anything to phase out officers because of their race or their age. We’ve never got the impression that he is, but this is an era in which it is easy for anger to be stoked in almost any direction for any reason. This is something that he will need to be hyper-aware of during this story.
