Criminal Minds: Evolution season 20 premiere date hopes

Following the season 19 finale of Criminal Minds: Evolution today over on Paramount+, why not talk more about season 20? There is, after all, a lot to look forward to here!

First and foremost, let’s just start here by noting that the streaming service has already greenlit another chapter of the show and in that way, it is nice to not have to worry about the future. Filming is actually underway already which is even more exciting!

Now, let’s get into that next question as to when the show could actually be back. Paramount+ could theoretically premiere the next chapter of Criminal Minds before the end of the year, but they are not going to do that. After all, what is the incentive there? They likely recognize that there is value in having an annual release and through that, we imagine that this is going to be the priority. We tend to think that another spring premiere makes the most sense.

Is season 20 going to be the final one?

For now, that is at least something that you have to wonder about. There is no direct evidence, so the speculation is mostly just tied to the fact that all shows do end eventually. Also, this is a nice, celebratory number to say goodbye on. Whether it continues is really going to be down to just two things — what Paramount wants and then beyond that, if the producers and cast think that it is time. For now, we are going to continue with the thinking that there could be more, but this is the world of TV and because of that, we know that everything can still be relatively unpredictable.
