Legacies series premiere spoilers: The start of Hope’s new journey
To go along with this, though, we also got some more official details on the story via the Legacies series premiere synopsis right now:
SERIES PREMIERE — Under the guidance of headmaster Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis), the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted — including tri-brid Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), Alaric’s twins Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and Josie (Kaylee Bryant), high-energy vampire MG (Quincy Fouse), newly-triggered werewolf Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) and the mysterious Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) — come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves…in spite of their worst impulses. Chris Grismer directed the episode written by Julie Plec (#101). Original airdate 10/25/2018.
Basically, this episode should serve as a rather-nice jumping off point for a lot of interesting drama that unfolds the rest of the way. We’re going to get to know the characters and, beyond that, the world in which they live in. It’s the same world that we saw on both The Vampire Diaries and also The Originals, but we don’t think that this show is just going to rest on that. There are probably going to be enough new characters and ideas here in order for the show to appeal to some new potential fans out there.
Ultimately, let’s just hope that Legacies gets off to a better ratings start than some other shows on The CW — it’s been a difficult start for a few different shows so far this fall.
