Is Nia Long leaving NCIS: Los Angeles after her run as Shay Mosley over the course of the past year or so? The latest casting information seems to suggest that this could be possible.
According to a new report coming in right now via Deadline, Long is joining an all-star cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie, and Nicholas Hoult in the George Nolfi film The Banker. This is a tremendous opportunity for her to work alongside a great group of people.

As for what precisely this means for the future of Mosley on NCIS: Los Angeles, that remains to be seen. For now, much of this depends on scheduling. Long has been billed as a series regular for most of the season to date, and if the schedules are arranged far enough in advance (or if she films this next spring / summer), there is a way in which she can do both. With that being said, though, remember that there is a possible way for Mosley to exit the world of the show based on what’s happening at the moment. Mosley and Hetty (Linda Hunt) are currently in Washington dealing with the aftermath of the Mexico mission, one that was off-the-books and orchestrated in part by Mosley’s desire to save her son. She seemed to be aware throughout the mission that this could cause her potentially her job and she didn’t seem to care.
With that, it’s easy to fathom a few different situations in which we end up seeing Mosley say goodbye … but nothing is altogether confirmed at the moment. Let’s just watch the remainder of season 10 and see precisely what happens from here on out.
