Chicago Fire season 7 episode 3 preview: Kelly Severide’s crisis
Take, for example, with Joe Cruz. This is a guy who rescued a woman who could prove to be very important to him. (Read our full review for the Chicago Fire part of the crossover here.) Or, Kelly Severide will be forced to make some other big decisions after just going through a very tough time following what happened to Stella Kidd. There’s been some tough stuff that Firehouse 51 has endured as of late, but one thing we’ve certainly come to know about these characters over time is that they are relentless; they don’t give up, and they really can’t given that they never can give up considering the circumstances.

Below, the Chicago Fire season 7 episode 3 synopsis offers up some other information when it comes to what lies ahead:
Chief Boden becomes increasingly skeptical of Assistant Deputy Commissioner Gorsch’s motives, while Severide gets wrapped up in a difficult situation following the rescue of a child from a car wreck. Trying to fit in with the rest of the firehouse, Foster is tasked with doling out some personal advice to Cruz.
Having Foster serve as a source of advice for Joe could be fun, and this is something that the show could need at this point. Chicago Fire is the most lighthearted of the three One Chicago shows and we don’t want to see it lose that charm. There will still be drama, especially when we watch the showdown between Boden and Gorsch. Obviously, we’re team Boden here a million percent.
Quick Programming Note: Chicago Fire next week is returning to its typical timeslot of 9:00 p.m. Eastern time after Chicago Med.
