Magnum PI episode 3 spoilers: Meet Ken Jeong’s character!
Ultimately, we do imagine that Magnum and Jeong’s Luther Gillis both carry with them their own vibe and energy, and that the two don’t occupy the same exact role on the show. After all, the idea here should be to bring on board Ken’s character as an interesting foil!
Below, the Magnum PI episode 3 synopsis offers up some addition information when it comes to some of what lies ahead:
“The Woman Who Never Died” – Magnum takes a case from fellow private investigator Luther Gillis (Ken Jeong) to find the true identity of a man’s comatose fiancée when he learns that she’s had extensive facial surgery, on MAGNUM P.I., Monday, Oct. 8 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This is the sort of case that feels almost straight out of a soap-opera, but there’s something that is rather fun and exciting about that! It’s basically a chance for the writers to have a little bit of fun and experiment somewhat with the format of this show, and to give its character a wide array of different, exciting things to do. We’re all for Magnum PI bringing together a wide array of different genres and mixing them together in a very weird (but very interesting) sort of way.
Be sure to check back on Monday, as we’re going to have a new interview with executive producer Peter M. Lenkov about some of what lies ahead.
