Blue Bloods season 9 debate: Is Louis Delgado really gone?

Blue Bloods season 9

On the Blue Bloods season 9 premiere on CBS Friday night, there were many different surprises that we had a chance to see. Yet, one of the biggest ones was seemingly what happened to Louis Delgado, the adversary of Danny’s played by Lou Diamond Phillips.

Near the end of the episode, Danny had a chance to bring Delgado in, and he certainly had plenty of reason to do so. After all, this was the man responsible for burning down his house! There’s also a debate as to whether or not he had something to do with Linda’s helicopter crash; we’ve personally felt like he was just trying to bait Danny with that, mostly because it probably isn’t hard to research and figure out what happened to her.

Yet, there’s also some ambiguity surrounding Delgado’s death. After Danny decided to let him go — while also making him appear like a snitch to some of his fellow members of the Mexican body — Danny ended up coming across what appeared to be his decapitated body.

Is this really Delgado? That’s the most interesting question to wonder right now. Without a head, it’s easy to understand why there could be some ambiguity in the moment, but it does also feel like they can scan the fingerprints and other things after the fact to figure out whether or not this body was really his. It feels like something that the NYPD would be able to figure out within a few episodes’ time. We’re willing to take the series at its word right now and assume that this guy is actually dead, but we’ll find out a more cohesive answer to this soon enough.
